Three Sundays of My Life

Image
I knew already that marriage is a wonderful U-Turn of life, you need to take this turn in your lifetime. Does not matter when. But there are also many people who don't accept this truth and some also challenge this aspect. However, to run the generation, we have to run accordingly, I think. Nov 29, the first Sunday My dad asked me to come home on Friday and I was going there on Saturday. We were going to Sandhya's parents' home on Sunday. For this, I had no clear preparation. However, I was hopeful for this upcoming event. Saturday, I went home in the evening. I talked with my brother who was already with dad and mom. We all discussed how we will go tomorrow. On Sunday morning, I went to the Saloon and had my hair cut. I also did my face cleansing as it had got some black spots. Me with my mom Around 10 or 10.30, I, my brother, my dad, and the mediator (who was also my teacher up to the lower secondary level) drove to her house. That was the first time I went t

Undying Efforts of a Sparrow

It is wonderful to stay by the window and enjoy the scenarios seen outside of the room. It is fascinating to look outside when I am bored in the class, even while the teacher is teaching. It is of course not a good idea, but I do. What is charming outside is the activities of birds, especially that of sparrows. The birds chirp and fly here and there, then back to their nest. They play on the grounds, hang on the wires of the cable TV and again go to seek the foods. There is a building just beside the college building used by some of the offices. On the outer part of the building, a corner is also the shelter of a couple of sparrows. They have made a beautiful nest in the corner and spend their wonderful life. The wonderful aspect of their life is they are free from their enemies like cats. Their activities are worth seeing. The love they make is incredible that continues for a long time. I could see them sharing the foods they collect and such happiest scenarios are rarely

Do you manage the use of the internet or internet will manage you?                                                                                                                 Bhanu Bhakta Khatiwada  #using_social_medias_good_or_bad?                                                                     Photo: Google This may be a question that remains in debate without a specific conclusion. If somebody asks this question, you have a ready-made answer: oh, of course, we should manage the time or in a way, we should control it. We people, who have easy access to the internet through cable internet, wifi, or mobile data use, are falling into an addiction with the use of the internet. One of the bad aspects of this use goes to the use of social sites as Facebook, Twitter, and others, rather than to the creative discovery or analysis. My house owner’s daughter (about 10 years old) has got a Facebook account.   I am friend with her dad and mom in it, but I feel quite d

Special Festival for Women- Teej, a Tradition of Fasting and Entertaining

Special Festival for Women- Teej, a The tradition of Fasting and Entertaining Like last year, the Teej festival has arrived in Nepal with mixed colours and excitement. Though Teej, a special festival of women, has become a celebration of men as well. If you see the dance or listen to the Teej songs, you cannot find a solo voice of a woman, rather a man will accompany them. However, fasting is special for women because men do not accompany this. I remember, it must be about 10/12 years ago, I used to go to invite married sisters. My dad used to plan where to send me and my brothers to invite sisters. In Teej, the earlier night of the main day, the sisters gather at their parents’ home and cook delicious food, known as DAR in Nepali term. Then, on a special day, they remain fasting and dance to the songs for the whole day, meeting their friends who have gone to their husband’s house. Now, I am in Kathmandu, missing all these events. Due to the change in societies and dev
