Life is a Tabula-Rasa

I would like to call life as a Tabula Rasa. You may ask how? Human begins do their laden roles in life. They get up, eat, do work, sleep and so on in a scheduled way. Still, is it a Tabula Rasa. Well. I argue differently in the favor of an argument that Life is a Tabula Rasa. It applies to the human beings. All the roles they have are designed by themselves. What they want to do and what they do is all their personal matter. You Fall in love with your mother at first, then to your dad, siblings, friends, members of your society and to the world. Love is difficult to define, but if you find kindness on anything, it has got the quality of love. Fill in the blank with these qualities, what do you prefer in life. Love Hatred Enjoyment Excitement Attachment Likes Dislikes Happiness Sad Joy Excitement Remorse See, you can pick up any qualities that can guide your life, wherever you are. It is a blank sheet and enjoy your life with good vibes,

My First Blood Donation Experience

Image
When I was a student of Masters Degree in Kathmandu Model College, there was a blood donation campaign. Many of my friends and juniors donated blood, but I feared. I was just feeling nervous and mentally I had not thought, ok, I will donate blood. On the other hand, my weight was not much enough to donate the blood. This Sunday, I was in the Teaching Hospital and saw Dhading Health Society had organized a blood donation campaign. This society belongs to my homeland. I just had a quick idea: ok, lets do it. Later I found that all the people of that organization, I knew. I was there for the first time, going to donate the blood, which was quite unique feeling. I was a bit more frightened about what will be the situation after donating the blood. I was waiting my turn and there was a lady who had just donated the blood. She fainted. Really. Then, you can guess what was going in my mind. I know, blood donation is a common act that people are doing, but if you are going to do it for th

I Have a Dream

Hello and Happy New Year 2074 to all of you. After half an hour, the new year will officially enter into our home with new energy and new hope. With the message of peace and prosperity. Pleasure and happiness.  I am officially out from my office, where I spent 3 years on writing web content. Imagine Web Solution was my home, my office and my shelter. Well, I would like to call it as my base, which gave me a lot of confidence and strength, to fight with negative vibes and go on through the positive way. It helped me to form a base for my future career. Today, I officially said goodbye to my boss, we shook our hands. I felt, yes, I was leaving my work place.  Today is the new year's eve. From tomorrow onward, I will not have to go to the office. I will miss my workplace, my boss and my colleagues. I got full support from all of them. We worked in a team, without any pressure of the task. Thanks to all my team.  I have a dream, that's why I left my office. I have

Follow Your Dream

Life is full of assignments. When you are young, your parents will command you to do this and that, not to do this and that. So many things are related to the morality, sins and punishment, virtues and rewards. When we begin to go to school, our teachers teach us, including the mathematics and science. We have to do what we are told and so on. In fact, it is necessary to take a specific shape. What, when we can think what we can do? Well, I will give you an example. One of the younger brothers in my village was going to higher education after SLC. He had good marks in many subjects. His parents wanted that he would study science and do better. Because they think that it is very necessary to become a successful person in life. He joined science. It was not his subject of interest. Almost when the exam was about to come, he wanted to change the faculty and became the student of education as a major. Luckily he did. The whole year went to know he should study education. My

Bitter Historical Reality: Sati Pratha in Nepal

Image
Some histories are really worth to glorify and some are worth to forget. That are pros and cons of any nations and it remains in the history that the latecomers will learn about it. Nepali society had followed the Sati Pratha in the history. For a long time, this evil deed of the society existed. It is a system of the society where a widow is placed on pyre of the demised husband and burnt alive along with the dead body of her husband. This system was existed in India and later spread in Nepal in the middle age. In the ancient period, it was not mandatory. During the Malla reign, Sati custom flourished. At that time, Nepal was divided into various mini states. If a King died, his wife and maids would go to Sati. It was highly practiced during the reign of King Mahendra Malla, Bishwojit Malla, Bishwojit Malla, Parthivendra Malla, Nripendra Mall, Shree Niwas Malla and Yog Narendra Malla. It was so deeply rooted in the Royal families that even the great leader of Nepal unificatio

Shivaratri festival and Marijuana myth in Nepal

Image
Kailash Baba from India came to Kathmandu to the Shivaratri festival. He says " I feel really excited to come this most sacred site of the Hindus. I am lucky that I have come to the Pashupatinath every year for 8 years. You know, it's very special with open marijuana celebration". "Well. Taking marijuana is almost open like people are taking cigarettes. I sell a good amount of it and make a good income on this day. Nobody cares our business", one of the Sadhus who calls himself as Aghori Baba talks frankly about selling and taking marijuana. Now, the question arises. Is it legal to take cannabis during the Shivaratri festival in Nepal?  Till the 1970s, there was no rule for the hashish ban. It was declared illegal in 1973. So, taking marijuana in any names, like spiritual myth, is illegal in Nepal. If found guilty, s/he will be punished and may send to jail. However, in some cases like Sadhus, generally, dread locked Sadhus are not in the high watched

Rooms for rent in Kathmandu

When we thought its time to shift, we set off our mission to search rooms for rent in Kathmandu. We live close to Thamel. Here are the experiences we got from different places. You know, it’s really tough to find a room near the place we live (Nayabazaar of Kathmandu) and what we are experiencing, I have listed below. Case 01: Ok. We have a room to rent. But Sunday, a lady had already talked and I have to wait till tomorrow evening. We were there in the evening too. Can we see it, I asked. He showed us the room. It had inside toilet. The room was bigger too. This will be okey for us, I said. Then I will call you tomorrow around 4 pm. He said okey. Then the following day, I called him again, he said, the ladies and her friend will come . They are doing shopping. After about 4 days, there was no curtain on the window. Somebody informed me. I called to the owner and asked if he could give me. Later he said that they are not coming, but his dad has asked for a boy, who studies in
