Image
Yesterday, I and my wife visited her Uncle’s house at Boudha. My wife was so excited to visit there as we could not visit anywhere for a month. It was Saturday and also Uncle would be at home. Aunt called us in the morning for our visit and we were already planning for that. As we reached there, Uncle, Aunt, and Granny all warmly welcomed us. They really liked our visit there and two kids (11 and 8 years) were so happy.  For me, it was also a different experience to visit her relations after the marriage. I said there were two kids of Uncle and Aunt. Aarambha (11) and Aakriti (8). Aarambha is a die heart fan of cricket who likes to play cricket, see cricket matches and talk about cricket. He has all the things that one needs to play cricket. I can imagine he keeps the things on his pillow while sleeping. Even Aakriti likes to talk about cricket but she plays some other games on a tablet or cell phone. I saw her playing cards in it.   Up to the time, we sta

Namaste. Yesterday (01-16-2016) we walked to the Malika Primary School, Salang 07, Bhedawari. Some of the young guys accompanied me who is from a local club- named Khun Babu Thapa, Ramchandra Kandel, Bishal Pandey, and my little photographer nephew- Asim Silwal (Bhanjo). It was a long way to ascend but we talked and joked a lot. It did not only made our trip easier but also we shared our personal experiences regarding the development of the village and the process of reconstruction after the earthquake. On the way, we visited Barapani village, where there are only six houses. That village was totally collapsed with the earthquake and I was so happy to help them with the emergency needs that my friends sent. I saw there people were making the places ready to rebuild their houses but just waiting for government assistance. Then we continued to walk uphill with their special gift of sugarcane. Sweating day with sun-warm and uphill trail...try to imagine.

On one of the days of 2 nd year of my Master's Degree, I was sitting with friends and teachers on the ground for sun-warm, and it is a good way of talking about various topics. Sunny day and funny talk. You know, if you are a student of literature, you like to talk, analyze and put your criticism on various topics. Then I remembered a story, in fact, it is a folktale and I started to share it with my teachers and students. I heard the story the day before when I used to attend the class trekking guide. There were many friends who used to share their experiences and were very special days with kind-hearted people. The story goes like this.                               Myself MB                                                      Rhododendron                            Poplar                                                                        Uttish         Photos: Google Once upon a time, there was an Uttis tree (it’s a soft tree normally found

Namaste to everybody. Happy New Year 2016. The second day (2nd Jan) of the new year 2016 became very exciting for us. We took warm jackets to Salangghat to distribute in the Jaleshworee school on 01-01-2016 that were supported by EduKids Nepal. The days were so busy for me and Sandhya to manage everything. We took jackets from the factory to Kalanki in the van and then by bus.  Ineke and Moti jee were coming in bus from Pokhara. We got off at home. After lunch, Moti jee and I went to the Malika Primary School in Bhedawari. We saw the destroyed buildings and the need to do them there. Eku sir, who is the headteacher there showed us the buildings and explained what can be done further. Then we came down to Salangghat. Sandhya was waiting for me to go to her parents' house.                                                                             The next day, the 02 of January, we came back home. It was a bit late but ok. The people of
