Facebook: Positive or Negative Drug?

Spending a couple of days without Facebook is being horrific to the people who are used to this social media. The trend of people is developing on concentrating on adding more and more friends and getting more and more likes and comments. After all, it has become a part of life.

Then how do you manage time for Facebook and the rest of the things altogether? Most people use it while they are in class, working in an office, waiting for a bus or train, party, or any leisure. Due to the widespread technology of the android system, the number of Facebook users is growing radically.   So it's the right time to discuss is Facebook a positive or negative drug?

In April 25, 2015, there was a big hit earthquake in Nepal. So many destroy were made by it along with around 10000 human lives. Soon, the message spread all over the world, and people donated for food and shelter. People got a huge relief supported by people abroad. Facebook became your pain-sharing partner.

There was a case of a girl from eastern Nepal suing a boy (man) for thugging around a million rupees from Facebook. Later from the police investigation shocked everybody that more than a dozen girls were deceived by him after getting money. He used to tell that he is a British Army and girls were attracted to him and later found deceived.

You all read those two representative happenings that could become possible through the use of Facebook. There are also other social sites but Facebook has become a brand network to connect people. It is like a medicinal drug, if you use it properly, you can have an update about the activities of your family and friends, see the photos and take pleasure in comments. If you do not use it, it may destroy your personal life, sometimes can destroy your life.

As I already mentioned, during the earthquake, many people could communicate fastly with their relatives abroad or even inside countries. One of my uncles is in South Korea. He loves watching videos of his son on Facebook, chats with his wife, and discusses a different topic. He is using Facebook for family connections and friends’ connections. You will get different news, information, specific subject topic, any inquiry and so many facilities in it. You can add your commercial advertisements from Facebook pages and update them regularly. This virtual journey will lead you to the different corners of the world and help you know what your family or friends are doing.

While enjoying the features of Facebook, you can not underestimate the black side of using Facebook. Some days at the beginning of using Facebook, I used to spend more than 5 hours in it looking at profiles, likes, and comments, then chatting. It was like a drug for me, which became a real challenge to use it limitedly. People spend a long time using it and kill their important time. If you lose time in unproductive things then you lose your creativity/work and family life.

When we go for lunch, one of my colleagues uses Facebook. Sometimes he becomes so much engaged that he could not tell how his lunch was. I have read that there are leaking porn materials or videos that destroy your privacy and get unnecessary tags. Because of Facebook, many divorce cases have emerged and the world is facing some different kinds of new problems. You will forget nature, walking in it, traveling to new places, rather enjoy watching the updates and chatting.

Be Carefully, using Facebook can be highly destructive, destructive of time, energy, and social life. Make your life better with human communication and listen to others’ pain. Cook foods taste it. Buy the things of everyday needs. Be in connection with family and friends. Use Facebook limitedly also with privacy. Don’t make it a negative drug. Control your too much time on Facebook. Do not lose your privacy and be careful with unnecessary people. Being in touch or not: it all depends on you.
